When we were given the choice on what film opening to re-make our group chose to re-make the film opening of Superbad. We chose Superbad as it looked interesting and it will involve a lot of editing which will allow us to improve our editing skills for our official film opening.
We used the dance studio at our school as it had the best lighting for how we wanted to portray the best representation of the film. As in the film opening of Superbad it has bright colours as the background and silhouettes of the character. So we focused the camera on the background so we looked more like silhouettes to have an even better representation.
Also we used iMovie to edit our re-make of Superbad. This enabled us to gain extra knowledge on how we edit and we will be able to use this knowledge when we make our film opening. When we where doing the editing process it took a long amount of time as we had to get the previous shot to match the new ones so we didn't confuse our audience. Also we had to add effects onto the footage to make it have to famous colours of the Superbad film opening.
Looking at how we made our film opening we will be able to use the key skills we learnt from our re-make and apply them to when we make our own.
