Question One. What story line would you stereotypically see in a Romantic Drama?
Out of the Three people we asked one person said that they would expect to see two people falling in love. The second person said that they would expect there would be love at the start of the film and then something happens to them. And then the Third person said they would expect to have a couple in love. Out of these answers we will be able to interpret them so we know what we would need to put in our romantic drama. So i know know that we must have Love in the film as this was the key thing that was mentioned in all answers.
Question Two. Who do you think a Romantic Drama is aimed at?
Out of the Three people we asked one person said that they believed that Romantic Drama is aimed at young people and upwards and mainly aimed at females, The second person said that they thought romantic dramas are aimed at middle aged women. And then the final person agreed with the second person saying that it should be aimed at middle aged women. Out of these answers we will be able to interpret who our target audience should be and as in two of the answers it said that the target audience is middle aged women i think this is what our target audience should be.
Question Three. What pace would you expect in a Romantic Drama?
Out of all three people we asked they all said that they would expect a slow paced. Therefore we have decided that our film should be slow. This would therefore would reflect the love building between the characters showing the audience what is going on in a simpler way.
Question Four. What type of Non-Dietetic sound would you expect to hear?
Out of the three people we asked the first person said they would expect a Romantic Drama to have pop/cheesy music. The second person said they would expect to hear romantic and slow music to allow tension to build. The third person then stated that they would expect to hear slow music in a Romantic Drama as most Romantic films have slow music as well as Drama films. After looking at these results I believe we should have slow and romantic music to open our film as this was the most popular result that appeared.
Question Five.What type of props would you see in a Romantic Drama?
The first person said that they would expect to see props with romantic connotations such as candles, flowers and chocolates. The second person said that they would expect to see a bed in our romantic drama. Finally the third person said that they would expect to see the restaurant setting as they believe this is they best way to portray romance. After looking at these results we prefer the final answer as it links in with our current ideas.
Question Six. Would a Romantic Drama be Independent or Mainstream?
All three of the results we obtain said hat they believed that a Romantic Drama should be Mainstream. Therefore after looking at these result we have decided our company should be mainstream as this is the one that is seen to be more popular in Romantic Dramas.
Question Seven. What type of characters would you expect to see in a Romantic Drama?
The first person said that they would expect to see a good looking female and male in the Romantic Drama. The second person said that they would expect to see either a female or male protagonist. Finally the third person said that they would expect to see good looking characters, like the first person. After looking at the results we believe we should have good looking characters in our Romantic Drama.
Question Eight. Would there be a Female Protagonist or a Male Protagonist?
The first person we asked said that their should be a Female Protagonist in our Romantic Drama. The second person we asked believed that it could be either a Male or Female. And then finally the last person believed that there should be a Male Protagonist. After looking at all of the results we've had back i believe we could chose either a female or a male to be the Protagonist and our Romantic Drama would still be successful.
Question Nine. Would there be a Damsel in Distress?
The first person we asked stated that their shouldn't be a Damsel in Distress in our Romantic Drama. The next person we asked said that there could be a damsel in distress as it would depend on the story line and who the protagonist is. And then finally the last person we asked agreed with the first person and they think that there shouldn't be a damsel in distress as they believe this is more common. After looking at our results i believe that we shouldn't have a damsel in distress as more people said it is less common.
Question Ten. Would there be a Happy or Sad Ending?
The first person we asked said they would expect a happy ending as well as the final person. However the second person said that there would be a sad ending as it is a drama film. After looking at the results we've found out that it is more common for their to be a happy ending however i do agree with the second person as it is still a dram so maybe there should be a sad ending.
