Location Scouting (Ellie Boyle & Ellie Taylor)

For the first hour of our research we decided to look at the locations of where we could film. Although it proved far more difficult than we first thought we looked at several places around London. Firstly, we looked at the Shard as the view seemed perfect at sunset for the restaurant scene within our film. Despite this it proved unaffordable and with the needs of booking right ahead with little space for customers to book it proved unbelievable for us to attend here despite the view.

The next location we looked at was Sky Garden and although you could attend for free visits it wasn't possible for us to be able to go as a group because there was only 1 space free on each day that we looked at. This means that we are unable to attend this venue because it is popular and proves difficult to book a time in order to visit.

One location that we decided to look at was in Chelmsford because we thought that if we needed more footage then we would have easy access to the restaurant. The restaurant we decided was Pizza Express as we think that the venue was what we were looking for and we easy for the actors to get there. 

Our last place in which we decided to go for the restaurant scene is the Riverside Inn as yet again it is easy to access and the back of the restaurant is the type of venue we were looking for however they were unavailable. 

The last place for the film opening will be shot in the Train station in Chelmsford however we are not sure if it is available to film inside so we might have to film outside the station. We took several shots at Chelmsford station and this formed the second part of our film.  Here are several shots of the station itself that we took.
