Casting the film opening (Ellie Taylor)

Our group decided on finding people who looked older and who are in fact older, this means that it can attract a wider audience because if it did have young actors then the people who we have targeted the film at wouldn’t be interest because it isn’t based on their age group.

We decided to audition people that we think would suit the part in the film opening so we thought out looking for people that we know either from family members and friends. While auditioning people we noticed how different they acted on screen and if they were comfortable in front of the camera. we choose to audition two boys and two girls that we think would suit the parts.

We decided not to audition them with sound because in the  we added the non-diegetic music over the scenes in post-production.

The first male we auditioned was Chris Philips, we decided to audition Chris because we think that he would be a good role of the male character however while auditioning him we noticed that we wanted someone who was over so that the piece looked realistic. If we were to make another film however base it on a teenage role then he would be a good candidate.

The second male we auditioned was Miley Walker, we thought he would suit the role because he was an older actor so this would help because it would make the film appear realistic and to suit the target audience.

The second female we auditioned was Olivia Taylor and we thought that she was perfect actor for the mistress because of her blonde hair which is stereotypical for people with blonde hair. Also to the audience she looks older so we thought that she was a good character to audition.

The final female we auditioned was Gabrielle Chambers for the role of the wife of the male, we chose her because we think that she is perfect with the role as in the film the other woman the wife also has ginger hair and seems innocent to the audiences eye.
